If
you are a teacher in Early Childhood Development and you have been looking for
a job then look no further than December this year. You must roll up your
sleeves because you are going to work for people who are focused and they want
results.
Based
on county budgetary allocation, Machakos County ECDE Jobs 2015 will see 1000
ECDE teachers being employed by the county by December 2015.
Machakos
County is best referred to as the master piece of devolution in Kenya. In the
education sector, the county has created 1000 job opportunities as it seeks to
achieve the following;
- Increased
access to education by children in Machakos County.
- Increased
awareness on Early Childhood Development.
- Increased
retention and hence lower the dropout rate of childres/pupils right from the
ECDE level.
- Attainment
of a better teacher-child ratio.
Several
counties in Kenya made their budgets without allocating any funds for
recruitment of ECDE teachers. Therefore, the steps taken by Machakos County cannot
be underestimated. Infact, Machakos County should be recognized for this move.
The
1000 ECDE teachers will help the County Government to meet the demand for
teachers as it constructs 80 new ECDE classes that are set to be completed by June
2016. The teachers will also help the county in its hygiene/sanitary support
Programme for children. Furthermore, the county is keen on ensuring that trial exams
are held at least twice per term so as to nurture the young children to become
great thinkers before joining class 1.
