The new TSC job Group K house allowance will see teachers in this cadre smiling all the way to the bank thanks to the new increment with effect form July/ August 2015. Officially, TSC Job Group K is referred to as Graduate Teacher II (GAT II).

House allowance in Nairobi

In Nairobi, the house allowance for TSC Job group K teacher has been increased from Kshs. 10,000 to Kshs. 16,500. This represents a 39.39% increase.

House allowance in County Headquarters

The house allowance has not been changed for county headquarters since the last increments.

In Malindi, Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Naivasha, Lamu and Kisumu, the house in Job group K still remains are Kshs. 12,800 with effect from July 2015. Previously, teachers in these areas earned Kshs 12,800. So the increase is 0.0%.

The house allowance for a graduate teacher in Nyeri, Kakamega, Garissa, Kericho, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisii, Embu, Lodwar and Nanyuki (Cluster 2), the house allowance with effect for July/ August 2015 is Kshs. 9,600.

In areas under cluster 3, the house allowance for job group K is still Kshs. 7,500.
