Interested candidates are being called upon by the KFS to apply for the 244 advertised job vacancies (Rangers).
The Kenya Forest Service seeks to recruit, train and deploy 244 men and women to various forest areas for protection and conservation.
Basic Qualification
Here are the requirements for applications.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 28 years old.
- KCSE D- (D minus).
- NYS paramilitary training will be an added advantage.
- Ladies must be at least 5 feet 1 inch tall. Men must be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall.
- Previous experience in matching band will be an added advantage.
- Must have no criminal record.
- Must be medically fit.
- Female recruits must not be pregnant.
Required Documents
Interested candidates should present themselves at the National Youth Service college in Gilgil in Nakuru County on 21st January 2016 at 8:00am and should bring the following;
- KCSE original certificate.
- National ID or passport.
- Certificate of good conduct.
- Appropriate clothing and shoes for running.

The recruitment is free of charge.
The rangers shall be recruited by a team of Kenya Forest Service Officers.
