teachers are entitled to less than Ksh. 10,000. Teachers in the top three cadres are entitled to earn Kshs. 10,000. It is a compensation that
is paid only once in a year.

payment of the new TSC leave allowance is part of the Kshs. 9.3 billion that was offered to teachers in January.

For
a trained graduate teacher in Job Group K, the new annual leave allowance is
Kshs. 6,000. This rate applies to three
other job groups, namely; Job Group L (GAT I), Senior Principal (Job Group M)
and Principal graduate teacher II (Job Group N).
