The
fate of the candidates will be sealed in an excise that will be conducted in 33
centres between December 3 and December 24 this year.
The
KCSE Marking 2015 will start on December 3 2015 and end on December 24 2015.
There will be 11,000 teachers who will be engaged in the exercise.
The
examiners will be coordinated from November 23 to December 1 2015 in order to
pave way for the real exercise that will see candidates being given grades that
range from A to Y.
Number of weeks: The marking will take
exactly four weeks to conclude.
The marking exercise will be done during daytime hours from 7am to 7pm.
Marking and the Leakage
KNEC
released a notice when the exams were ongoing. The notice clearly stated that
students who might have benefitted for the leak will be clipped at the marking
process. However, it is important to note that given the past
exercises, the KCSE marking process is not that efficient in identifying the
students who used a leakage. The process is extremely efficient on the students
who copied from each other.
Payment of KCSE Markers
The examiners will be paid at the marking centre upon production of national ID. The payment can also be made strictly through MPesa or via bank deposit.
The payment will be taxed.
In order to claim payments, KNEC warns against casual visits to their offices. Payment claims should be made through writing.
Travelling to examination Centre
Examiners are expected to carry their own towels and soap. For examiners who will drive to the marking centres, they must carry their car log books.
