ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The following are the requirements for one to be recruited into the police.
An applicant shall be a person who:
- Is a citizen of Kenya;
- Holds a Kenya National Identity Card;
- Possesses a minimum qualification of ‘D+’ (Plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary
Education (KCSE) examination or its equivalent from an examination body
recognized in Kenya with a ‘D+’ (Plus) in either English or Kiswahili
languages;
- Is aged between 18 and 28 years;
- Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
- Is physically and medically fit;
- Has no criminal record or pending criminal charges;
- Female applicants must NOT be pregnant at recruitment and during the ENTIRE training period.
Note
1. Result slips shall not be accepted.
2. An applicant who:
a) Canvasses directly or indirectly;
b) Willfully presents false academic certificates and testimonials;
c) Engages in any corrupt activity;
Shall be disqualified and in the case of (b) and (c) in addition be arrested and prosecuted.
How to apply
- All applicants must complete the prescribed application form. Download the Application form here.
- All applications must be submitted in duplicate, accompanied with the following documents:
- A copy of the academic certificates and testimonials;
- A copy of the National I/D;
- A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate;
Recruitment Date
The
recruitment will be done on a single day (i.e. 4th April 2016). The
applicants must arrive at the recruitment centres before 8:00am. The
recruitment centre shall close at 8:00am and the exercise shall immediately begin.
The applicant must carry with them the dully filled application form (Fill in duplicate).
Note
- Each applicant must present the original supporting documents for verification.
- The originals will be returned to the applicant before the applicant leaves the recruitment centre.
- Applicants recruited for the training into the Service shall be bonded to serve in the National Police Service for a minimum period of ten (10) years.
Important Points
- Application must be made in DUPLICATE (Yaani, jaza forms mbili).
- The duplicate application forms must be accompanied by copies of the following;
- Copy of ID.
- Copy of birth certificate.
- Copy of academic certificates and testimonials.
